A typical shoot lasts approximately 1 hour. I’ll take hundreds of photographs of you in a variety of poses against differing backgrounds from light to dark using studio lighting and natural light. I’ll also photograph you outside in various locations (weather permitting). At the end of the shoot I’ll make an edit and email a pdf contact sheet to choose your favourites. Once selected pics are made I’ll send you a link to your high-res selections in both colour and black and white. I’ll also scale the pictures to industry standard 10 x 8 inches, and retouch skin blemishes and stray hair where necessary.

What to wear:

Please bring a selection of neutral clothing – long or short sleeved t-shirts, nothing highly patterned or frilly. Ideally something black, white or grey with a simple neckline.  Also bring something with colour that either matches or contrasts with your eyes or hair colour. I’m currently using olive green, peat and grey backgrounds, so a colour to match with these are also a good idea.

Make-up and Hair:

It’s best to keep make-up very simple, neutral and natural, and avoid where possible bright lipstick and wear minimal foundation, especially for colour pictures. If you have longer hair we can try some shots with hair up as well as hair down. If you have a beard we can try with and without if you would like.

What you receive:

I create a digital contact sheet pdf, and email a link to you. You scan select up to 7 shots for me to process to jpeg, scale to 10×8, convert to B&W (as well as colour), plus retouch blemishes and any stray hair. I’ll then send you a link to the finished  hi-res shots.
